At first it was just that extension, now it's all of them. Now that I think of it, Firefox did start acting up after I installed web developer extension. Tried defragging, registry cleaner etc, nothing seems unusual. I tried setting IE as default, and it didnt work. Probally would have been better for me to post there instead. I just checked out that thread a few minutes ago. I am left starting over, getting the same results when I try to install an extension.ģ. I tried deleting the whole extension file, and even my whole profile. Still same results, the extensions I have tried are tabbed mix plus, ad block, and fasterfox.Ģ. I delete the extension files inside my profile to clear the the extension I just installed. I continue to get the extension will be installed when firefox restarts. Yes, I have restarted after every one I Installed. I cant think of any other info that would be useful.ġ. I appreciate all the help, and hope this problem can be resolved soon. I am completely baffled to what is making firefox do this. I checked to see if my xpi was true in the about:config, and it already was. As the starter of this thread stated I cannot install or uninstall anything, becuase it keeps stating that message. When I fully exit Firefox (Check my system processes to make sure), I get the same message. O be more specific, When I deleted my profile or extension files (inside my profile folder) I am able to install my extensions no prob, than as normal Firefox says "the extension will be installed when firefox is restarted". I deleted my profile, extensions, followed the extension guide to make the xpi in the about:config true and last I tried starting firefox in safemode. It has helped others, so if you are having this problem it's definately worth checking out.
Sadly none of those links were able helped me.
